Come on a trip from Alabama to Arizona and want to camp.?
Come on a trip and want to camp on the road. Has anyone went to camp (in a tent) through Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico or Arizona. Can anyone recommend good places to camp? And how much usually cost to camp?
My husband and I have camped several times on Sardis Lake in southeastern Oklahoma. It is not far from Clayton, and I think it costs about $ 11 per night. Not sure, I know it will raise prices, but if they did not know. I have to go in about 2 years. The downstairs area is not beautiful, is at the western end of the Cordillera Ouachita. There is even a path that can drive through if you've never been. It's called The Drive Talamena and Talahina begins, and ends at Arkansas Oklahoma Talihina is the village between the mountains, with the Kiamichi Mountains and the mountains south of spiral staircase to the north and the Potato Hills to the west. Talihina is also known as the gateway to the Scenic Drive and Talimena Beautiful Quachita National Forest. Several lakes, rivers and streams, camping facilities, riding areas, hiking trails, are near Talihina outdoor offering different activities. Hope this helps. Have a safe and fun trip.
