Boat rides in the north / northeast of Oklahoma?
I'm looking to go on a rafting trip in Oklahoma this summer. We always go south of Missouri, Niangua, but we thought we'd try something new (and closer to Kansas) this year. Anyone know of anywhere good? I am looking for a camp that allows Tents, open fires and alcohol to be consumed. Also, I would like the rafting trip in about 6.9 miles, in canoes, with alcohol is also allowed. Price should be around $ 5.15 per person per night, with the rental of canoes to be around $ 25-35 per day. If you ever have floated down the river Niangua near Bennett Springs, MO through one of the owners who, like Red Beard, Ho-Humm, NRO, etc, you know what I'm looking for. I want exactly the same, only in Oklahoma.
I have not been on trips that have … Most people in Oklahoma Illinois float near Tahlequah. Here is a link to some of the stations http://www.shopoklahoma.com/illinoir.htm I went skiing with War Eagle, Eagle Bluff and the arrowhead. Honestly, I can not remember which one is better than the other is all the same journey with all the same services. You can camp and have the fire, everything you asked for. Flotation is one big party. You will see families, but there is great amount of alcohol in that river. Everyone interacts with the other if there is on the weekend or anytime busy. water pistols and various toys help in this interaction. You can remove all the way and eat, swim, see string changes and other additions to the gap that people have created for added enjoyment. I grew up in Tulsa and was a time past that he expected every summer. For the most part is relaxing and treacherous but not the river may be hard usually near the beginning of the season. Resorts will let you know what happens before you leave. That link will also show other places in Oklahoma, but I'm not familiar with them.
