Hammock Camping?

I am looking for a change of a backpacker's tent backpacking hammock (mostly due to low weight) and wondered what I have to make adjustments. I suppose I should keep my boots and off-exchange, so in winter, how can I keep my things hot? Usually keep the Most of my clothes in my sleeping bag, but my boots will probably be too dirty for that. In a tent, usually kept to one side and isolate socks wool to keep warm. How can I do this in a hammock? Both my bag, and most importantly the boots porches morning dew if I stopped hanging out. Besides, I need a mattress in the hammock or blanket and a sleeping bag enough? Finally, is it a good idea to use a hammock in the winter, or is more than a summer / spring haven?
