This is almost too cool to be true! after many rants and comments on the death of romantic travel and the horrible environmental cost - an answer pops up out of the history book.
So many holiday-makers rush through the traffic to the airport, stuff themselves into a metal cylinder with it’s noise, in-flight movies and built-in games machines as the first part of a “holiday”. Hardly the best way to start relaxing and so insulated from the experience of travelling.
You might as well sit in an uncomfortable cupboard for a few hours eating crap food and then go lie in your back-garden for all the travel experience you get.
Zeppelins, floating gracefully over the countryside are the antidote to this. Fast enough to get there and able to cross boundaries with ease and yet slow enough that the journey becomes a positive part of the experience. Imagine a trip across europe in one of these - you could see so much!
